Web Design and Lead
Generation in Michigan.
We are in Waterford. Most of what we build is for businesses within an hour of here, and we know what a Michigan year does to a service business.
Published prices, published start dates, and a marketing calendar built around your season rather than against it.

What we do for Michigan businesses
Six things. Statewide, the one that decides your year is usually the calendar rather than the service.
- Local SEO The foundation everywhere in this state, with the sequencing changed by your season. A trade with a five-month window should be building in the off-season so the compounding lands when the phone should ring, not after.
- Web design and development The site itself. It is the one asset that works identically in January and July, which in a state with this calendar is worth more than it sounds.
- Google Ads management The mechanism for a short season, because you can switch it on for the window and off again. Michigan trades routinely overspend in the wrong months and underspend in the right ones.
- Print design and printing Still real for trades and storefronts. Signage and vehicle lettering work through a winter when nothing else is running.
- Ecommerce and portals Selling online, which is how a seasonal business smooths a revenue curve the weather otherwise dictates.
- Logo design and branding Only where it earns its money. Statewide that usually means a business that is genuinely rebranding rather than one that is bored of its logo.
The Michigan calendar is the thing most marketing advice ignores. Five months of season, a construction window that closes, a holiday retail spike and a January when budgets reset. Building against that calendar rather than against a generic twelve-month plan is the highest-value adjustment available to most businesses in this state.
The thing about running a business here
Michigan compresses your year. Most service businesses in this state do the majority of their revenue in about five months, and almost nobody markets like it.
A roofer in Phoenix has twelve months to fill. A roofer in Clarkston has April through October, a scramble in March, and a long quiet stretch where the phone only rings for emergencies. So does the landscaper, the concrete guy, the paver, the painter, the deck builder and the pool company.
HVAC runs the opposite calendar and gets two spikes, the first hot week in June and the first hard freeze in November, both of which arrive without warning and both of which decide the quarter.
If your marketing spend is flat across the year, you are underspending in the months that matter and burning money in the months that do not.
That is the single most useful thing we know about this market, and it changes when you should build, when you should launch and when you should turn ads up.
The Michigan marketing calendar
For a weather-dependent trade. Adjust for your own season, but the shape holds for most of the exterior trades in this state.
-
Build Jan–Feb
Dead, except furnace emergencies and interior work. Homeowners are indoors looking at their phones. This is when to have a site built, a profile fixed, listings cleaned up and tracking installed. You have time to give it attention and nothing is being lost while you do.
Launch and start ranking March
The thaw. Damage becomes visible, ice dams, cracked concrete, lifted shingles, a lawn that looks dead. First calls start. Anything you build now is competing for attention exactly when demand appears. Turn ads on late in the month.
Peak demand Apr–Jun
Everyone who has been putting it off calls at once. Also peak competition, every competitor is bidding.
Spend hard. This is when a lead is worth the most and when speed-to-response decides everything. If you are going to be aggressive on ads, be aggressive now. Ease off, do not stop Jul–Aug
Still busy, but you are booked. Leads arriving now often cannot be serviced for weeks. Reduce ad spend rather than killing it. Keep the organic work running, rankings you lose now cost you next April.
The second season Sep–Oct
Winterization, furnace checks, gutters, last-chance exterior work before the weather closes. Underrated and less competitive than spring.
Push again. Different message, urgency is real because the window is closing. This is the season most businesses forget to market into. Be findable, not loud Nov–Dec
Emergency work only. First hard freeze produces a furnace spike that lasts about ten days. Emergency searches convert to whoever answers. Make sure the profile is right, the phone is answered and the site loads fast on a cold phone.
The practical consequence. The best month to have a website built in Michigan is November through February. You have time to do it properly, and it is live and indexed before the season opens. The worst is May, when you are too busy to answer questions about it and every week of delay costs real jobs.
And the part nobody plans for. Local SEO takes 60 to 90 days to move. Start in March and you rank in June, which is halfway through your season. Start in December and you rank in March. That timing difference is worth more than anything we could do to the website itself.
Who we build for here
Michigan has a particular shape to it, and some of these behave differently than they would elsewhere.
-
Roofing, siding, gutters
Ice dams and freeze-thaw damage create a March spike that does not exist in warmer states. Storm response matters, a bad hail or wind event produces a week where whoever answers first wins.
-
HVAC
Two seasons, both sudden. Emergency search behavior dominates, which makes profile completeness and answering the phone worth more than a beautiful homepage.
-
Landscaping, hardscape, concrete, paving
A short window and heavy spring competition. The businesses that win are booked out before the season opens, which means marketing in February.
-
Plumbing, electrical, restoration
Year-round with weather spikes, frozen pipes in January, basement flooding in spring. The steadiest of the trades and the best fit for a full engine.
-
Healthcare, dental, chiro, med spa
Not weather-driven, but strongly affected by insurance cycles and January deductible resets. A different calendar with its own January opportunity.
-
Legal, accounting, insurance, financial
Referral-heavy and slow to convert. The website’s job is credibility rather than urgency, and the review profile matters more than anything else on the page.
-
Auto repair, tire, body, detailing
Michigan roads and Michigan salt do half the marketing for you. Winter tire and body work is a real season and most shops do not market into it.
-
Restaurants, bars, salons, studios
Local search and reviews are the whole game. For these, the free playbook below will often do more than anything we would sell you.
-
Musicians, bands, artists
A different product entirely, Marquee. Michigan has a genuine music scene and almost none of it has a real press kit.
Where Michigan actually sits
We build for businesses across the state, and we are honest about where proximity stops helping.
Two things are worth reading off that map before you spend money on local search here.
- Distance stops mattering for organic and never stops mattering for the map pack. We can rank a business anywhere in the state organically. The map pack follows your address, and no agency changes that.
- The season is not the same everywhere. The window is shorter as you go north, which moves every date in the build calendar with it.

Mon–Sun, 9:00am–9:00pm ETWhere we work in Michigan
Where most of our work is
Detroit Metro and Oakland County
Tri-county and the northern suburbs, from Ferndale to Clarkston and Novi to Rochester. We live here, we know which towns cross which service areas, and being nearby genuinely helps with the hands-on parts.
Detroit Metro · Oakland County
Everywhere else in the state
Grand Rapids, Lansing, Ann Arbor, Flint, Traverse City and up north
We build here regularly and it works the same way, the map pack ranks your address, not ours, and everything local SEO involves is done from a keyboard.
What you give up is us dropping by. If your job needs someone on site with a camera, we will tell you to hire a photographer in your own town and exactly what to ask them for.
Seasonal and tourism economies
Up north, the lakeshore, and the resort towns
A different calendar again, a compressed summer, a second smaller winter season in the ski and snowmobile towns, and months where the population drops by two thirds.
If that is your market, say so on the call. The marketing calendar above is wrong for you and we would rather build the right one than the standard one.

-
The local SEO playbook
One afternoon. Finish your Google profile properly, start asking every customer for a review the same day, fix your listings. For a local business this out-performs a new website more often than anyone selling websites likes to admit, and February is exactly when you have time to do it.
-
Audit your own ad account
An hour. The search terms report alone typically finds real money on a $3,000 budget.
-
Do you actually own your website?
Ten minutes, five checks. Most people who think they own their site do not.
-
What a website should cost around here
Five real options in this market, including the three cheaper than us and who each is right for.
If those fix it, keep your money. If you do them and still want the rest built properly, that is the conversation.

Straight answers
When should I actually start, given my season?
Count backwards. Local SEO moves in 60 to 90 days and a Foundation build takes 45. If your season opens in April, kickoff in December puts you live in mid-February and ranking by the time the phone starts. Start in March and you are ranking in June, halfway through the year you were trying to win.
My business is seasonal. Do I pay the monthly all year?
Yes, and here is the honest reason: local SEO decays when nobody tends it. Stopping in November means losing ground you spent the summer earning and starting the spring behind. On Growth, ad spend is what pauses seasonally, the management fee drops to the base and the campaigns stay built, ready to switch on before the season rather than during it.
Do you only work in Metro Detroit?
No. Most of our work is here because we live here, but the map pack ranks your address rather than ours and we build across the state regularly. Distance is not the filter, fit is.
I get all my work from referrals. Why would I need this?
You might not, and we will say so. But the question worth asking is what happens when the referrals slow, because they do, a retirement, a mover, a bad quarter. A referral business with no findability has no second engine. The cheapest insurance is the free playbook above, not a build.
How much does weather really change this?
More than any other factor we have seen in this market. A trade doing 70% of its revenue in five months should not be spending evenly across twelve, and almost every one we look at is. Fixing that alone often does more than the site.
Do you work with union shops, or businesses with a prevailing-wage contract mix?
Yes. It changes the messaging, commercial and prevailing-wage work is won differently from residential, and it usually means two audiences and a site structured for both. Say so on the call so we build it that way rather than retrofitting it.
